1 Week Online Program with Roadmap Writers

Roadmap Writers is a leader in screenwriting education and has helped over 150 writers get signed, optioned, staffed and produced. Below is the curriculum.

 

Monday, June 22nd @ 5:30pm – 7:30pm CT
Script Development with executive Janet Jeffries from Lawrence Bender Productions (GOOD WILL HUNTING, SEVEN SECONDS)
Janet will start with a lecture on what she looks for in a script and common pitfalls writers fall into that shoot themselves in the foot. Janet will choose 5 volunteers prior, read the first 10 pages of their script and provide feedback in the class so everybody can learn from their peers’ feedback. Tuesday, June 23rd @ 5:30pm – 7:30pm CT
Pitch Roundtable with manager Audrey Knox from The Cartel

Audrey will start with a lecture on the do’s and dont’s of pitching. Writers will practice their pitch with Audrey in front of the group in about 10 minute increments for feedback so everyone can learn from the notes.

Wednesday, June 24th @ 5:30pm – 7:30pm CT

Marketing and Branding with Joey Tuccio, Roadmap’s CEO
Writers will learn how to find companies that are right for them and their projects, the importance of branding, and how to establish your best brand ID.

Each class is recorded so if you sign up but can’t make it live, you will receive the recording 48 hours later!
