Get ready for Birmingham’s best Memorial Day Weekend event! Eat all the chips, salsa, queso, guac, and specialty dips you can from local restaurants and vendors. Vote for your favorites to crown this year’s champion! Admission price includes sampling privileges at each competitor’s station, a ballot for casting an “Audience Choice” vote, piñata Smashes, kids’ activities, live entertainment, and the (in)famous Hot Pepper Eating Contest with a cash prize.

Cahaba is pup friendly and we’ll have a kids’ zone, so this is truly a great event for the whole family.

Proceeds from this event will go towards Sidewalk’s educational programs (Youth Board, Book + Film Club, Scramble, Sidewrite, Salon, Tech & Technique workshops, festival panels, and all our new programs we’ll be adding in the new Sidewalk Film Center + Cinema, a federally recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

$15 in advance, $20 at the door. Kids 5 and under free!
