KATHRYN TUCKER WINDHAM STORYTELLING AWARD was created to honor Alabama's eminent storyteller, Kathryn Tucker Windham. Her stories and spellbinding storytelling resonate through adult and child alike across generations, and across Alabama and throughout the country. This award, transcends production values, and is given to the narrative short film with the most engaging story, like the ones told by Kathryn herself.

Continuing with Sidewalk's mission to encourage films and filmmaking in Alabama,
Sidewalk presents Alabama Citations of Excellence to Alabama films that are deserving of special attention in specific categories, as determined by the Short Film jury.
