SIDEWALK 2006 JURY

FEATURES
Alison Dickey produced the Sidewalk 2004 Special Feature Film Jury Award-winner PIGGIE, as well as the feature films SKIPPED PARTS and HOW TO MAKE THE CRUELEST MONTH. Prior to producing, Alison worked with Sean Penn developing film projects for his production company at Orion Pictures and Columbia Pictures. She has served on the juries of the 2003 AFI Film Festival and the 2004 IFP/Los Angeles Film Festival, and taught the IFP Producer’s Lab in Los Angeles. This is her second year on the Sidewalk jury.

Brian Gordon has been the artistic director of the Nashville Film Festival since 2003, and served as its executive director in 2001 and 2002. For 13 years, Brian was director of the Golden Gate Awards, the San Francisco International Film Festival’s competitive section for documentaries, shorts, animation, television and experimental film and video. He has been active in alternative film exhibition for the past 30 years, and has managed art cinemas in Cincinnati, Denver, Berkeley and San Francisco.

Gabriel Wardell is the executive director of IMAGE Film & Video Center in Atlanta, which produces the Atlanta Film Festival and Out On Film, Atlanta's Annual Gay & Lesbian Film Festival. Gabe programmed the AFI Silver Theatre, produced the inaugural edition of SILVERDOCS: AFI/Discovery Channel Documentary Festival, hosted Cinema Sundays at the Charles in Baltimore and programmed for festivals from Maryland to California. He writes "Gabe's Declaration of Principles," hosted by indieWIRE Blogs. This is his seventh year on the Sidewalk jury.


DOCUMENTARIES
Eric Campos is the deputy editor of FilmThreat.com and has also been featured in Alternative Cinema Magazine and on VH-1. He has also programmed the Hollywood Horror, Sci-Fi and Fantasy Festival. This is his third year on the Sidewalk jury.

Skizz Cyzyk is the founder / festival director for Baltimore's MicroCineFest, the programming manager for the Maryland Film Festival, a projectionist / occasional juror and advisory board member for Slamdance, a projectionist for the Atlanta Film Festival, and serves on the Board of Directors for Maryland Lawyers for the Arts.  He has been involved with Sidewalk since its 1999 debut, having served as both a projectionist and an advisory board member – and has been on the Sidewalk jury each year.

Peter Gilbert produced and was the director of photography of HOOP DREAMS which won the Sundance Film Festival Audience Award, and awards from the Producer’s Guild of America, Independent Spirit Awards, and National Arts Club, to name a few. He joined Sidewalk in 2004 for a special screening of his documentary WITH ALL DELIBERATE SPEED. This is his third year on the Sidewalk jury.


SHORT FILMS
Alison Bagnall co-wrote BUFFALO 66 with Vincent Gallo. She has also written and directed numerous short films, including ONE NIGHT STAND and LOVE PERFECT. She also directed an episode of FEMMES for French television channel M6. She is a graduate of Yale University, and was a directing fellow at the American Film Institute. Her feature directorial debut, PIGGIE, won a Special Award from the Feature Film Jury at Sidewalk 2004. This is her second year on the Sidewalk jury.

Kent Osborne wrote and starred in DROPPING OUT which won Best Feature Film at Sidewalk 2000. Kent hosted TBS's "The Movie Lounge," has written and storyboard directed for 'Spongebob Squarepants', THE SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS MOVIE, and 'Camp Lazlo,' and has been nominated for three Emmys. He also starred in the short films DAY 37, QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS and Sidewalk 1999 Best Short Film winner, HERD. He has been on the Sidewalk jury more times than he can remember.

Steve Montal has had extensive experience in numerous film festivals around the world, including Slamdance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. He was most recently producing director of the American Film Institute’s Discovery Global Documentary Film Festival. This is his fifth year on the Sidewalk jury.
