| SOMEBODIES (89 min.) directed by Hadjii * Writer/director/actor Hadjii, producers Nathaniel & Pamela Kohn and actress Kaira Whitehead scheduled to attend. SOMEBODIES is a coming-of-age comedy about Scottie, a twenty-two year old African American college student in Athens, Georgia, who’s just living life as it comes. He and his roommates live the good life – finding a balance between education, partying, women, and flat out fun. But eventually, Scottie’s nonchalant approach towards life, combined with his love of a good time and appreciation of a “cold one,” lands him in some hot water. Fortunately, Scottie is lucky enough to be surrounded by people who care about his well-being and who are willing to offer their help, support, and advice. Unfortunately, all of these people happen to be one sandwich short of a picnic. Encircled by a wild group of friends, an eccentric love-interest, off the wall family members, in-your-face convicts, and a fire and brimstone preacher, Scottie’s road to recovery becomes something more -- a riotous journey toward self-discovery. Director’s Bio: Hadjii was born and raised in Brunswick, Georgia. He graduated from the University of Georgia’s Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication with a BA degree in Telecommunications Arts. His 2002 short film THE MAKING OF BRICK CITY won 2nd place at the 2002 Peach City Short Film Festival and was featured in the 2003 Hollywood Black Film Festival. Earnest Hardy of the L.A.
