| 10 MPH (90 min.) directed by Hunter Weeks * Director/producer Hunter Weeks and producer Josh Caldwell are scheduled to attend. When their office jobs become soul-numbing, Josh Caldwell and Hunter Weeks ditch the cubicles and hit the open road. The plan is to travel from Seattle to Boston at 10 mph, with Josh riding a Segway and Hunter directing a documentary about the experience. Their goal - to capture a true sense of what America is all about. The journey unfolds with beautiful scenery, humble American stories, Segway goofiness, and a road trip that is like no other. They meet many interesting characters, including a couple of laid-back sheriffs in Idaho, a cross-country motorcycle group in Wyoming, a stone mason in Kansas, a monster truck driver in Missouri, and a guy who wears four hats in New Hampshire. Director Bio: Photographing the world since the early nineties, Hunter Weeks has developed an eye for capturing moments of humanity in off-the-beaten-path places, like Croatia, Morocco, and Indonesia. Hunter is a partner of Spinning Blue, a production company, and Chairman and co-founder of n2geo, a nonprofit inspiring people to learn about the world. Screens with GEOCACHING: FROM THE WEB TO THE WORLD, directed by Jeff Orlowski and Tessa Banks (5 min. / USA). This film explores the new hobby through the eyes of three avid geocachers. |
